This is connection string to your local database in visual studio
<add name="MySqlConnection" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" connectionString="data source=.\SQLEXPRESS;Integrated Security=SSPI;AttachDBFilename=|DataDirectory|aspnetdb.mdf;User Instance=true" />
Note that this .mdf file does not have a database inside. It is simply data inside the mdf file. Copy the above connection as it is in web.config file.
Open a website and notice that your project is not connected to the TFS. You do not get options like “Check out Latest”, or when you edit the file, the it is not checkout. In my case, the directory where the project is sitting is synched with TFS (verified in explorer). What is the issue?
It was not showing checked out files when I open the project as website but when I open the site using Solution, it did work. It took quite a while to kind of sync all the files. Not sure why it would do it when my project was already working fine.
